I have been stumbling around the question of what to do with this blog. The writing and reading was so strong for awhile. A lot of that had to do with me writing about professional tennis. This was unsustainable. I predicted that for years.
I guess what I am interested in now, is loss. I’m going through a lot right now, but aren’t we all, all the time, especially as we age (get old((er))).
I’m trying to journal as well in an actual respectable looking hard-copy journal I bought at a bookstore.
But makes too much sense to do so here. Maybe I’ll even fancy a post about the Djokovic denouement (or eternal sun).
Tennis trying to prepare for that loss is petty much unwatchable. Ha ha: “Carlos will be the GOAT!”
So, we’ll say we’re down two sets to nil, Bo5. Can I make a come-back? Or should I just take the L, lying down?
We miss your blog! Would love to hear what you think of Carlos’ current form! He hasn’t been the same since that epic loos to Novak at Cincinnati!

Tarik! Great to hear your voice 😉
I’m coming. . .
Indeed, the hype is a little too 21st century Amazon.com quick. He’s come back to earth, Rune has vanished, and Sinner, as I said back in the day, is simply not all that. Granted, they’re all young. . . so even my dismissal could be too early. 🙂

Alcaraz is an industrial product with short expiry date. Rune is peripheral boy looking to get so much attention he can (a.o. by adding a criminal hochstapler to his box. Sinner is exploiting his ski preparation , a kind of Djokovic but without his brain game and mentality. Only Thiem can save tennis these days or maybe Federer comes back seeing what’s going on?
