Cincinnati Landscape

I have never been to Cincinnati. Various images of the city look beautiful, though some of these, found online, perhaps, are well-lighted, angled just so. I prefer my coastal, desert and mountainous landscape, but Cincy looks like a fine city with certain amounts of character and charm.

The Masters 1000 tennis tournament they host usually has appeal, as well.

Is this the case this year?

Nadal, Thiem and Fognini withdrew.

Tsitsipas looks to be in a bit of trouble vs Struff, his game continuing to plateau.

What if you’re a betting man and you like the looks of the Kyrgios v Khachanov match later today? How do you lean there? Does the Aussie even show-up? Looks like a clash of titans on one hand.  Does that materialize or does Nick just do Nick?

Stan is down a set to Rublev.

Federer and Djokovic most likey remain on a collision course for a SF.

Not even sure how to watch Federer at this point. He needs to win this tournament and/or beat Djokovic for there to be ANY redeeming value to Fed’s 2019 Cincy efforts or any breath of hope for NYC.

We still have to discuss that Federer WB loss.

Djokovic lost his first service game to Querrey yesterday and then put-on, pretty much, his usual clinic. Failing to reach the first set TB and lose 5-7 there, one saw Sam absolutely throw-in the towel. Djokovic is in everyone’s head at this point.

Suffocating.

Tsitsipas just lost to Struff, and Stan is now down a set and a break to Rublev.

Aside from the Big 2 (this week — Big 1 last week in Montreal), Cincy is like a cute little county fair with a bunch of fun games and cute exhibits.
