Federer vs Nadal XXXIX
A post from my bed, on my phone. 😎
Tough to say much or get very excited until we see these two actually warming up with Nadal hopping seemingly around the court in some reasonable comfort, enough to at least take-on his Swiss rival.
A great effort to get by the Russian yesterday whose powerful game remains pretty impressive; he looked poised in a couple of spots in yesterday’s QF to overcome the Spaniard, similar to their 2018 USO four set classic (I want to say 3R).
But the knee appears to be bothering Nadal. Holding a ticket for today’s SF men’s singles, and men’s doubles Final has, indeed, this one dark cloud in an otherwise brilliantly clear spring Coachella Valley sky: will he play and if so how much will the knee affect him.
Can you imagine if he’d gone three with Khachanov?
He ended-up crashing out of the 2018 USO, after surviving Karen and a few other big hard court clashes. His body and the hard courts are a tough cocktail to serve to a thirsty tennis crowd.
Come on, Rafa. We hope you’re good today. Let’s see a great tennis match.
Naturally, I can’t wait to see Thiem vs Raonic. I like the Austrian today on pure preference but I also think he’ll have enough to beat the big serve anyways.
I beliem in Thiem.
No Djokovic doubles today. Too bad.
We’re trying to remain hopeful for today.
Guess I should get up, have some coffee and get ready to go.
We should get the cultivation for Federer vs Thiem.
Here’s to a great Saturday at the BNP Paribas Open. Wish me luck!
