ATP UPDATE!!!

The utter bliss of watching filthy crap like De Minaur lull some other (allegedly) talented tennis toddler to near sleep, steal his toys, make faces, shit their drawers. . . something stinks.

It’s the ATP.

Enjoy.

PS
We’re this close to banning the two-hander.
We need some standards to stomach this under-cooked garbage.

Matt. you force me to learn by heart the whole urban slang. I like that (even not understanding), but … could you once at a time write Hemingway? 😉
Let’s assume for a while, I can still understand maybe 10% of idioms you use. And because English (especially American, I guess) consists in 99% of idioms … well, this is English, Enjoy 😉
But there is a word making your thought somehow digestible for creatures like me 😉
It’s “two-hander”. Well, I think, we have such standard. Never watch matches, where there are two-handers only (or it’s Djokovic or Nadal)Watch matches, wehen there is at least one-hander and he WINS (no idea to watch the match, where one-hander loses to two-handers. What’s the idea to watch boxing, where one of the opponents can use (for any reason) only one hand. Be it the hand of Paganin or Chopin.
Maybe we should speak (until one-handers are at work again) about fishing on the moon or flying 10,000 meters under the ocean’s surface?
Shouldn’t we start the initiative to ground 185-1-H-ATP? No highscrappers over 185 cm, no thousand-handers.
Or I have completely misunderstood your thought? (or you are still working your ass off and simply take every 1368th word from the dictionary to write your posts?

Some play also 2H forehand 😉 The only one, who could do it with grace was Santoro.

      2. Remember the first THBH? It was someone like Chris Evert (probably started in Austrailia). But when I saw a guy using it, seemed very odd, a little girly (because of someone like Evert using it).

Now it’s basically the turd of the sport.

I thought, it was Björn Borg, but this was first just only part of the movement made with 2 hands. Yes, it’s one of big things murdering the sport. And producing invalids, because the movement is not natural.

Do you see some close relation between New Federer Tennis Business (called Rod Laver Cup) and so called ATP?
Look what RLC-clowns do now in Asia. Dimitrov, trying to overcome Fed as exho-star of all times, fails. Sock fails. Goffin withdraws. Anderson needs 2x 3 sets to win a match against nobody. Zverev loses in straights to Malek Jaziri (I think this guy is half one-hander. sometimes starting the swing with 2, than hitting with 1 and end follow-through with 2. Every win against 198+ 2-handers is a win of the sport.
Fed and Dimitrov (now both bigger S(w)inging (???) Backhand Boys than tennis players) where only 2 1-handers (Dimitrov at the same time 1-footer) In Dallas or wherever it was.
Nadal comes not to Shanghai, so I hope, Thiem comes deep enough to beat Fed in maybe another epic semifinal 🙂 If Fed comes that deep 😉

    1. Djokovic wins everything the rest of the year and everything he plays through out 2019.

I will admit that I enjoy watching the one-handed boys on the indoor courts.

But this is a lost cause, a melancholy era of men’s tennis. If you disagree, you’re a pre-pubescent fan girl, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Pre-pubescent fan girl – nice, maybe I’m 🙂 But we have still 3 1H in QF in Tokyo. And Federer and Thiem are not there.
Yes, I agree, Djoker can take everything next time. And his 2H is not so disgraceful like from many others. It’s rather soft- than hardware. I would switch Djoker to 1H (Bresnik can help). Djoker can play 1H. Many cannot.
Let’s see what Thiem is able to next year. Maybe his great time is coming. We need it, because Fed is going to play exhos and make business of any kind. No more much tennis from him. Shapo and Tsitsi need time to mature, but they could quickly follow the “senior” Thiem. Let’s forget poor Zverev. Tsitsi is going to replace him in Top10 and is maybe slam material like Thiem.
But thinking about upcoming winter, two-handed forehand with is the best shot if you use snow scoop 😉 one-hander for snow, hmmmm – you lose the whole snow underway, ha, ha, ha …

Why, damn, is my comment about Björn Borg still waiting for moderation??? BTW – maybe you should change the title of this post to ATP OUTDATE?

This is a REAL update. Gasquet not only defeated Anderson, but has done this wearing a bit of golden on his hair. Well, I have seen this on Federer (20 years ago) and on Thiem (6 years ago) and on Paire, who is crazy guy (probably not fitting any category of healthy people ;)), but never on such serious guys like Gasquet. Maybe he realized, it’s time to be young and irresponsible again?
Could you write an article about “How to wear gold in tennis”? If not interested, maybe I will do after some research, ha ha …

    1. I love it, Wlady. I saw the result. I though this was an example of the LC crew playing crappy tennis — your theory that, again, I like.

Gasquet is an interesting case. Prodigy back in the day and then. . . . . mediocrity!

Gasquet was a tremendous talent, maybe bigger than Federer. Somehow he was missing killer instinct and could not do more from his brilliant skills. Sad.
I hope, Thiem understands it finally and will be able to first double bagel anyone and first then invite him to have a beer or pizza together 😉
Zverev was wearing all his gold again, while losing to Malek (!!!) – I’m wondering, where is Lendl? Maybe too serious to coach a guy wearing so much gold?
But at Laverer Cup he was all smile, “coached” by GOAT – Zverev likes hype maybe more than Fed, but the other difference is, Fed had the game to win 20 slams 😉 Zverev never wins a Bo5.
Gasquet was nice to watch today. Somehow (maybe gold on the head?) more confidence than he usually has.
Do you think, Federer goes deep in Shanghai? or will only do red carpet things for sponsors?

Re LAVERER CUP. Delpo was on the poster (mandatory, because he is managed by Team8), but not so stupid to waste time there. Now he wins Beijing and maybe reaches final in Shanghai and probably will end the year as third in the ranking, pushing Fed to rank 4 or lower. Fed has lots to defend – Shanghai, Basel, London.
