Mcshow will make picks when picks need to be made. Monte Carlo is a feeling-out of the clay field, a christening, as we said, of the season. Granted, there are bettors out there who want more consistent picks, etc. But this sort of prognostication we see is what we call parking in the dark.
Thiem saved a MP today v Rublev which certainly isn’t a surprise, that Thiem advanced, of course, or that Rublev continues to be a nightmare out there for his opponents. The Russian outlasted Haase in R1 76 26 75 and then gave Dominic a tough one, but gave way, in the end: 75 57 57. Rublev is for real, as is this new crop of ATP talent we’ve watched mature over the last couple of years.
But I leave you with these images. I mentioned at the end of my last post that a few of these mainstream syndicates had Pouille advancing to the final. I said “good luck with that.” Indeed, a S & V Zverev took him out. 😀
I’m just happy clay court season is finally here! And Monte Carlo is the first test!
